I can confirm that Venus does indeed still have volcanic activity merely by looking out my window, where I am treated to the sight of the yellow carbon rich clouds which come billowing out of the volcanoes far off on the horizon. It is truly an awe-inspiring sight, one that I never tire of, as it serves to remind me that I am the only living creature on an alien world.&lt;div&gt; On the other hand, it also reminds me that I have to live with the threat of being killed by a volcanic eruption. Naturally, when I was choosing a location for my dome, I went to some pains to ensure that there weren't any nearby volcanoes, and I designed the dome to be able to withstand a volcanic eruption.
